Building and Construction

The department trains students at different still levels ranging from Artisan to Diploma. As a department we believe in producing quality students, which can be manifested in the following forms.
• Masonry skills this involves; block work and concreting, brick laying, tile fixing, plaster and stone work.
• Preparation of bills of quantity
• Carpentry & joinery this includes operating various carpentry machines, workshop management, joinery and Carpentry.
• Plumbing.
• Skills in using computer in building technology eg. Use of Archicad software for drawing buildings.
• Competency in critical, creative and qualitative skills thinking.
The department boasts of highly trained and skilled staff who are very competed as well as hardworking. We have well equipped workshops and labs. The department produces highly competitive students.

 

Mechanical Engineering ​

The department trains students at different still levels ranging from Artisan to Diploma. As a department we believe in producing quality students, which can be manifested in the following forms.
• Welding and fabrication this involves gas welding, arc welding, mig welding and sheet metal work.
• Use of jigs and fixtures.
• Mechanical engineering this involves turning, milling, churning and lathe work.
• Competency in critical, creative and qualitative skills thinking.
• At the completion of the course the trainee is able to make items like metal doors, gates, sliders.

The department boasts of highly trained and skilled staff who are very competent as well as hardworking. We have well equipped workshops and labs. The department produces highly competitive students.

Printing Technology

The trainees are trained in all areas of printing processes i.e Graphics preproduction (Typesetting), operating of printing machine, and various types of book binding. At the end of the course, the trainee should be able to work effectively and efficiently in a printing press, publishing house or in packaging industry.
This is thanks to the technical and conceptual skills acquired at Sagana Technical. Today there is hardly a town or city in Kenya that a graduate of the department will not be found in enviable positions in the printing industry, both private and public. At the completion of the course the trainee has many options of being employed an also self employment.

Electrical/Electronic Engineering ​

The department train trainees at different still levels ranging from Artisan to Diploma. As a department we believe in producing quality trainees, which can be manifested in the following forms.
• Electrical installation (wiring, power engineering, control systems, conductors & insulators).
• Electrical machine installation and industrial electrical installation.
• Solar photovoltaic (solar installation).
• Electronic engineering (transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, digital computers).
• Competency in critical, creative and qualitative skills thinking.
• Various short courses like solar installation, electrical wireman etc.)

Automotive Engineering ​

The department train trainees at different still levels ranging from Artisan to Diploma. As a department we believe in producing quality trainees, which can be manifested in the following forms.
• Body works (panel beating, spray painting).
• Braking system (bleeding, ABS).
• Ignition systems.
• Engine Technology (four/six cylinder engine, servicing and CI/SI.
• Wheel alignment and balancing.
• Vehicle electronics (motor vehicle wiring, AC, fuel system, heating and ventilation).
• Arc and gas welding.
• Competency in critical, creative and qualitative skills thinking.
